Musical education:
Actually he began playing Accordion at the age of 6 but in addition he was - thank goodness - soon educated by Walter Buchinger to become a harmonica bass player.
Professional education:
PhD of natural sciences (zoology). In his research at the University of Innsbruck he was working on the stem cell- and germline system of flatworms.
In his current research at the University Medical Centre Freiburg he is addressing the genetic control of mammalian stem cells during early embryonic development.
Hobbies:
- Making and hearing music
- Biology, especially zoology and marine biology
- Diving, skin-diving, underwater rugby - in general: watersprots
